Pre trip report

Lucky readers, this has all been typed meticulously with the use of just one (inferior, left) hand. Today I leave for Utah for a mission reunion/General Conference. It's going to be great. I've been keeping up with all my missionaries, and I'm totally stoked to see all them again.

I am living the good life. I'll post the many pictures I expect to take.

"So.....

how is it being home? Is it weird? Do you miss it?"

My answer to that question has changed as often as circumstances have, but this one has remained constant for some time. My determined answer?: Like all emotions, it comes in little spurts here and there.

One week ago I was driving the long distance to the Institute for church on a sunny sunday morning. I started listening to an album I listened to a lot towards the end of my mission. It brought back a flood of memories and feelings.

I wept like a baby.

If you were to ask me if I miss it at this moment, I'd reply yes. Dearly.

Viva las retail!

I did my first day of on the floor training today. I learned more about ladies' shoes today than I ever thought I'd know. Tubular leather to conceal stitching? The difference between slides and pumps? Leather vs. rubber soles? HOW CAN THIS BE?

It was a good day. I kicked some trash. I think I'll do juuuuuust fine once I (finally) get to men's shoes.

Welcome to 2005

So, I'm watching Lost. I'm starting from the beginning, the most logical place. I'm halfway through season one, and right now I want them all to get rescued so nobody has to do any more deep, dark secret exposee.

Just when you start liking someone, you find out they're a big old creep.

frist psot - hay guys im on the intarwebb

After some nagging from others in the blog world, following the deletion of my previous blog, I am starting a blog here. I hope it is entertaining for others to read.

If not, I'll still read it.

I've been whittling away at a pile of movies (thanks Carlie and Trevor and Blockbuster) and just finished watching The Recruit. Watching movies like that make me suspicious of everyone...
